Tart burners scent your home with our Lookout Mountain Candles Tarts. Tart burners, sometimes referred to as tart melter's, tart warmers, tart burners, oil diffusers, oil warmers, potpourri burners, potpourri warmers, wax melter's, melt warmer, melting pots, or simmer pots are a great addition for anyone who loves candles. The purpose of the tart burner is to release the scent of the melted wax into your home. The most amazing part of this and the absolute best is this happens without a flame.

One important point you need to know is ALL of the tarts on the market will have scent only so long. This amount of time varies from brand to brand as well as from scent to scent. Most of our tarts will have a STRONG scent for about 20 hours. Our customers have reported much longer fragrance lasting from different tarts. Personally I prefer to have a very strong scent. I change my tarts just about every day or every other day. So you might wonder what the advantage is to tarts besides the obvious (no flame). One big advantage is the ability to change scent as often as you like. A Candle has one scent and it takes at least a week or two to go through the candle. Now this brings up another bit of information many new tart users want to know. WHAT TO DO WITH THE WAX. There are couple of ways you can handle this. The way I change a tart is allow the wax to cool then I place the bowl of the warmer (now cool) in the freezer for about 20 min. Then I pop the wax out. The longer you have the bowl the easier it comes out. At first you might use a fork to loosen the wax, later just pop it into the palm of your hand. Another alternative is just pouring the melted wax onto some paper in the trash bag. The wax will not be so hot that it will burn anything. I always pour it on to or in some old box first.

Since I change tarts pretty much every morning what I do is put the bowls from the warmers in the freezer while I fix breakfast and get the kids off to school. Then the melted wax just pops out when I get it out of the freezer. Then I put new tarts in and go about my day. Now this brings up another point. How much space in my house will be scented by one warmer. It depends on your personally preferences. Personally I like a lot of scent. Not that my house stinks I just like to smell something interesting with my EXTRA LARGE nose. I really do not have a large nose. The main level of my home is about 1100 square feet. I use two burners most of the time. However sometimes when I have company I add one to the bathroom. (Or when my family has eaten a lot of beans or vegetables – almost always when my sons are home from school) I can smell the scent of the tarts when I get about half way down the steps from the second floor or half way up from the basement. I have tart warmers on all my floors of the house. Sometimes I use the same scent, sometimes I use complimenting scents. And sometimes I throw my hands up and say what the heck I will be bold and put any old thing in the burners. That can be an interesting scent for the nose.
